This is a journey of my healing process and reaching out to help others. I have been on a journey of just existing to fully living and in the process of healing, forgiving and reconciling.

Sunday the start of a new week.
I learn more every time I read the book and re-read the book, not to mention what we talk about in Sunday school class. So we have been going through a series on Sunday's about what we do because of who we are because of who God is and what God has done for us. So today is about being a missionary. If we are a christian we are missionaries. So as Pastor John is giving the list of what is required to be a missionary he gets to point 5 which is we must be in prayer. He used Colossians 4:2-6 but with emphasis on verse 2: "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful". What? Is he reading one thousand gifts as well?? No but that is how God works. Our assignment this week is to start our Journal of gifts from God. I have been dragging my heels as I have mentioned before but here it is again. Watchful and Thankful. In the book the author Ann Voskamp had talked about how taking the time to be watchful and thankful also slows time down as you immerse yourself into the gift/s God is giving you on a daily basis. So as I have discovered this last week, I have lots going on in my head that is wrong. It is wrong thinking. So as I am working on changing that wrong or negative thinking into positive thinking, being watchful and thankful is only appropriate don't you think? So as I am challenged to start my journal of thankfulness and gratitude I pass on the challenge as well. I dare you to start your list of thanks and gratefulness. We all have different perspectives so we are going to notice different things as gifts from God. As I was out hunting last night I saw two caterpillars. I instantly thanked God for them because that was something that was simple as I was a kid. I didn't get a lot of time to just be a kid as I had a lot or responsibility put on me, but the times that I did have I do cherish and caterpillars are a part of that memory for me. So again it will be different for each of us. So until next time God bless you in your venture as well. PS keep your journal with you every where you go.
